WE WANT TO THANK ALL THOSE 25 SIT MEMBER VOLUNTEERS who helped us present our organization at the Bazar fair at Kulturhuset last week. Because of that event, we now welcome 50 new members and several new partner contacts, including recruiters specializing in presenting foreign academics to companies. We are beginning to get phone calls from organizations asking to post positions with us, as they seek candidates with global backgrounds. Great news! People are starting to come to US! We are being SEEN!
WHAT IS NEW:
- The second mentorship opportunity through Rotary Clubs of Stockholm kicks off next week for 13 of our members. This is the second mentorship opportunity we have been able to organize.
- We have just posted 10 jobs from one of the recruiters we have come in contact with and our members have also begun posting jobs and sharing their tips and experiences. So remember to check the JOBS section of our LinkedIn page.
- One of our contacts is developing a recruitment day. The link to register and show your interest is here. If we can show that we can bring a large group of educated, qualified people, then it will be easier to convince companies to come with actual open positions. We can also demonstrate who in our talent pool is readily available.
WE ARE NOW 630 MEMBERS, JUST 9 MONTHS AFTER LAUNCHING! We ask everyone to be an activist in helping us solve this problem of exclusion from the Swedish labor market. The group is an amazing network of talent, and we represent every field and business area. We must act as good examples- showing that immigration is positive for Sweden- and we must support each other. Please be generous with your time, and keep helping each other succeed in Sweden- through this group. Contact us if you have any ideas or can help! Keep up with SIT on LinkedIn and our social media channels: Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ and remember to like, share, and post.
Spread the word. We are your voice and you are ours!
Best,
Samara, Carlos, Liz, and Angela
The Board at SIT
