OUR NEW CAMPAIGN GOT MÅNGFALD? AIMS TO HIGHLIGHT THE FACT that Sweden already has talented foreigners living here who are educated and skilled and are all ready to contribute to society. Often, they are not even given a chance to introduce themselves- because of their names, because their education was earned outside of Sweden, or even because they are seen as a risk to an established workplace.
SWEDEN ALREADY HAS WHAT IT NEEDS TO ESTABLISH ITSELF AS A GLOBAL economic power, tourist destination, and progressive country. The talent is already here, and SIT - now with 700 members- is a sample. We noticed that there has been a lot of talk recently about how to handle those who have newly immigrated to Sweden. Ideas are presented to establish a two-year plan to help them integrate quickly. There are also discussions stating that the key to making Stockholm an international destination is to recruit international talent and make the city and country attractive to them. Swedish companies need talent, they say.
SVERIGES INTERNATIONELLA TALANGER (SIT) SAYS THAT THE TALENT IS ALREADY HERE and that motivated individuals who made the move to Sweden and learned the language are indeed ready to help companies thrive in a globalized economy. When workplaces are comprised of similar individuals, new ideas are missed. Innovation is thwarted. When one rejects cultural diversity in a workplace, the list of negative consequences is long. So we will make our message short- Would you like to meet them?
